# Handle External Call Ingested Webhooks

> Handle Simple AI webhooks sent when a call from Zendesk, Five9, NICE CXone or a manual upload has been ingested and is available from the API.

The `external_call.ingested` webhook is sent once per external call, when its first recording has been stored and the call is available from [List External Calls](/api-reference/external-calls/list-external-calls) and [Get External Call](/api-reference/external-calls/get-external-call). Transcription has not finished yet, so the call's status is usually `processing`.

Calls from Zendesk and NICE CXone are synced on a schedule, so this event arrives a few minutes after the call ends rather than in real time. Calls that started more than 24 hours before they were ingested, such as those from an initial sync or a historical import, do not send this event.

### Payload

  The external call's UUID. Pass it to [Get External Call](/api-reference/external-calls/get-external-call) to fetch the call.

  The provider's identifier for the call, such as the Zendesk call ID. Manual uploads and recordings without a provider ID get an identifier generated by Simple AI instead. Matches `external_call_id` in the API responses.

  Where the call came from: `zendesk`, `five9`, `nice_cxone` or `manual`.

  The call's status when it was ingested: `processing`, `transcribed` or `error`.
